This year marks the 20th year of
the First Night Celebration in
Downtown Pontiac! We are 1 of
only 3 communities in all of
Illinois that hold this
family-friendly, non-alcohol New
Year's Eve celebration.
Moreover, Pontiac provides the
2nd oldest First Night in Illinois
while being the smallest
community to host such a
celebration!
We are very excited to share that
10 new acts of entertainment will
be showcased at 15 different
locations in Downtown Pontiac!
The festivities will begin at 6pm
and will continue until midnight.
Then, to ring in the new year in
fashion, a fireworks display will
begin promptly at midnight -
countdown included!

Jack Gerard create an ice sculpture

at one of our specialty downtown
eateries, listen to blue grass, gospel,
and a variety of music. Be entertained
by a hypnotist, magician, ventriloquist
and even a Bull Whip Guy! Or you
can put on your dancin' shoes and
learn how to dance hip hop! You can
even stop by the Livingston County
War Museum which will be hosting:
Portraits of a Soldier (200 portraits
of Illinois’ Fallen Soldiers) or the
Route 66 Hall of Fame Museum!
